Welcome to Ellendale Baptist Church!

Dr Jerry R. Harmon answered the call to become the Senior Pastor of Ellendale Baptist Church in 2007. He and his wife Carolyn and their four children Abby, Jeremiah, Josiah and Annie moved to Barlett, TN in August of that year.

He is a graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity in 2001 and a Ph.D in 2006. He also completed graduate studies in Biblical Hebrew at Johns Hopkins University in his hometown of Baltimore, MD. Dr. Harmon is a committed expositor of the Word of God.

The emphasis of his pulpit ministry is the careful verse by verse study of Scripture believing that the glory of God is best revealed throught the clear and accurate commuication of Scripture. In a day when many churches are reverting to secular and questionable means to build their ministries Dr. Harmon remains thoroughly committed to allowing Christ to build His church through the culturally transendent message of the Word of God.

In 2009 Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary honored Dr. Harmon with the award for "Outstanding Alumnus." He can be heard on his weekly radio program "You Have Hope" every Saturday at 11:30 pm and Sunday at 11:30 am on WCRV 640 on your am dial.

Dr. Harmon and the congregation of Ellendale Baptist Church would like to invite to worship with them every Sunday morning at 10:15 am and Sunday evening at 6:30 pm.
